Effective date: September 30, 2026 · Green Light: Medical Sales Intelligence
Green Light is a Chrome extension that helps medical sales representatives identify whether physicians have publicly available appointment booking pages. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What We Collect
Green Light collects only the minimum data needed to provide its service:
Physician name and employer — detected from the LinkedIn profile page you are actively viewing. This is read from the page's DOM and page title; it is not transmitted to our servers until you initiate a search.
Search queries — the name, email address, or booking URL you enter into the extension's search field, which is sent to our backend to look up booking availability.
Usage count — a local counter (stored in your browser only) tracking how many searches you have performed in the current billing period. This is never transmitted to our servers.
We do not collect your browsing history, the content of pages you visit, your LinkedIn credentials, or any information from pages other than the active LinkedIn profile you are viewing.
How We Use Your Data
To perform availability lookups. Physician names you search are sent to our backend, which queries publicly available medical directories and booking platforms to determine whether a public appointment page exists.
To improve the service. We may log anonymized search queries (physician specialty and geographic region, never name or employer) to understand which specialties and markets Green Light covers well and where coverage is lacking.
We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Green Light's backend uses the following services to provide its core functionality:
National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry — a public federal database maintained by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, used to verify physician credentials and specialty.
Brave Search API — used to locate publicly available physician booking pages across medical directories. Queries consist of physician name and specialty only.
Medical booking platforms — Green Light cross-references publicly accessible booking pages on platforms such as medical scheduling directories. We do not create accounts, log in, or access any non-public data on these platforms.
Railway — cloud infrastructure used to host our backend API. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
Data Storage and Retention
Physician names entered into a search are held in memory for the duration of your browser session and are not persisted to our servers beyond the time required to fulfill the lookup.
Your usage count and monthly reset date are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local and never leave your device.
We do not maintain a database of users, search histories, or physician profiles.
Permissions
Green Light requests the following Chrome permissions:
activeTab / tabs / scripting — to read the name of the physician from the LinkedIn profile page you are currently viewing, and to detect auto-fill information for your convenience.
storage — to store your search count and session data locally in your browser.
sidePanel — to display the Green Light panel alongside your browser.
host_permissions (<all_urls>) — required to open background tabs on medical booking platforms to check appointment availability. Green Light only reads publicly available booking information from these pages; it does not interact with any accounts or submit any forms.
Your Choices
You can uninstall Green Light at any time from Chrome's extension manager. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
You can clear locally stored data at any time via Chrome's "Clear site data" option for the extension.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted in the extension's changelog. Continued use of Green Light after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
